...hello my sweets!
today I will be sharing with you,
a very simple tutorial of an
oh-so-lovely
rose heart center piece!!
with nothing more than a few supplies,
you too, can make one of these rose centerpieces!
So lets get started.
here is a list of what you will need:
* a container ~ I have chosen to use this glass heart,
* a ring of floral foam ~ much easier to cut and shape into my heart than the ususal blocks
* a bouquet of flowers that make your heart flutter with joy
I chose these sweetheart, pink blush roses
I purchased the glass heart, floral foam ring and candles from
the Dollar Tree store!
~ and the sweet blush roses came from my Wal-mart store
who knew??
lol!!
* step one: soak your foam in a bowl of warm water
with the flower additive powder you get with your flower bouquet.
you may have to put something on top until it absorbs enough water
and not just float!
*step two: start by cutting your foam with a sharp knife
pieces to fit snuggly into your heart
*step three: start shaping your centerpiece by snipping your flowers down
and pushing the stems into the foam
filling in as you go,
until you are pleased with the shape and fullness
and Voila!!
a heart you can truely adore!!
I added the two blush colored candles on each side,
and tied them with pieces of pink silk
and embellished them with more vintage earring bling!
placed them all on top of this pretty footed silver tray
and smiled at the results!!
now all I need are some pretty tasty morsels!!
...and I just couldn't resist ~
this next pic is for Rhonda
I call this
"post card from Paris"
hint, hint
LOL!!
Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you will be inspired
to create a sweetheart centerpiece for your very own:)

Beautiful and simple. Now, if the snow would stop, I'd head out to WalMart to find those roses. They are just beautiful!
Lovely inspiration indeed.
Stay warm,
Jan
Oh...I love this bouquet especially sitting on the silver tray. Great tutorial too.
So very pretty, Rosemary! I may have to make one.
Danielle
Lovely and romantic :-)
Thank you for the tutorial!
For someone that's learning about home decor and crafting a pretty house on their very own, I totally appreciate your little How To. I had no idea that you need to soak the foam and do that other stuff to setup a piece like that. I've seen the little Rose Bowls and Flower ideas in magazines and never knew! It's so romantic, and so pretty. Thanks for sharing, hopefully I'll have a chance to incorporate this into my home. (Thanks for Sharing on White Wednesday!)
